As the name suggests, this mobile application is meant to assist Zimbabweans who would like to adopt solar energy solutions to do so with relative ease while at the same time giving solar energy companies in the country more visibility and accessibility to those in need of their services.
The mobile app provides
• a direct link to a database of solar energy system installers and retailers that you can simultaneously email for quotes.
Studies have shown that by receiving multiple quotes, comparing them, and selecting the best value, people generally save 20% or more off the costs of installing solar systems.
• a direct link to us for a consultation or second opinion.
Going solar is a significant investment. We can help you to understand more about solar energy systems and assist you in reviewing your solar quotes in order to make the best decision for your property (with regards to system size and design, technology, warranties offered, installer reviews and financing options)
• a system sizing framework to help you determine the size of a solar PV system that will suit your energy needs (i.e. solar panels, batteries, inverters, solar charge controllers etc).
It is our hope that by providing this service, we will be able to
• save many people from wasting their time and money on substandard equipment and unreliable/untraceable solar energy companies
• avoid several issues (safety or otherwise) associated with shoddy solar installations and
• facilitate efforts to step up the adoption of solar energy solutions in Zimbabwe and help alleviate the country’s energy poverty.
